SPECIALIZED TRANSPORTATION TRAINING PROGRAM 

Access Services CTSA program seeks to enhance the professional capabilities of social service transportation providers in Los Angeles County by offering technical assistance and training opportunities.  Program elements include:

• Technical workshops and seminars;
• University of Pacific's Transit  and Paratransit Management Certificate Program, and;
• Financial Aid.

Technical Workshops and Seminars

Improved management skills is one of the most crucial needs in specialized transit today because of several reasons:

• The specialized field operates under a complicated set of regulations.
• This area is highly service oriented, with a clientele that needs sensitive treatment.
• Funding typically runs far below the needs in this area and thus emphasizing on cost saving measures and efficient management.
• There is a high rate of staff turnover.

The CTSA sponsors low to no cost workshops and seminars for Los Angeles County's specialized transportation providers.
