Access Services offers a comprehensive package of employee benefits.  These benefits include the following:

¨       Comprehensive health insurance option under a Preferred Provider Organization (PPO), or Health Maintenance    (HMO) or Kaiser-Permanente coverage plan for individual and immediate family members.  ASI pays the entire premium cost for HMO and Kaiser coverage for both employee and eligible dependents.  ASI will pay 95% of the monthly premium for PPO medical coverage for both employee and dependents, up to limits established by the Board of Directors.  Coverage begins after 30 days of employment or next premium cycle, whichever is later.

¨       The Prepaid Dental Benefit (DHMO) option provides basic care at no charge to the employee and other services at a low co-payment.  Indemnity Dental Benefits (PPO) option provides basic care at no charge to the employee and other services at a payment of 80% on most usual and customary charges up to $1,000 per year. Coverage begins after 30 days of employment or next premium cycle, whichever is later.

¨       Comprehensive vision insurance under a Preferred Provider Organization (PPO).  Coverage begins after 30 days of employment or next premium cycle, whichever is later.

¨       Employer paid life insurance in an amount equal to one times (1x) annual salary.  Coverage begins after 30 days of employment or next premium cycle, whichever is later.

¨       Employer paid long term disability, which provides 66 2/3% of salary for employees unable to work after a 90-day waiting period. Coverage begins after 30 days of employment or next premium cycle, whichever is later.

¨       Paid Time Off (PTO)

All regular full-time employees accrue PTO from the first day of employment.  PTO is accrued according to the following accrual rate:

  •    Twenty-two days per year for the first four years worked   
  •    Twenty-seven days per year for five to eight years worked  
  •    Thirty-two days per year for over eight years worked

¨       Holidays

  •    Nine scheduled paid holidays per year.

¨       CalPERS (California Public Employees Retirement System) -100% employer-paid, 2% @ 60, employees are vested after five years? service

¨       403 (b)(7) tax sheltered annuity retirement plan. Currently there is no employer contribution. 

¨       Monthly reimbursement of parking up to $115, or for transit passes up to $198.75 through payroll. Note:  Amounts reimbursed above $115 will be subject to taxes in accordance with IRS regulation.

¨       Employee Assistance Plan.

¨       Educational assistance is offered upon completion of six months probationary period up to $1,200 per fiscal year and must be pre-approved in accordance with Access Services? policies.
